Shringi was born on July 14th, 1973 in India, he holds a MBA from INSEAD and is also a qualified Chartered  Accountant.

Yatra was the second largest online travel website in India by 2012. How are they doing today?

Company Overview

It’s hard to tell the current stature of Yatra right now, but they seem to be surviving after all these years. Regarding those negative reviews, no company is perfect, eventually they’re going to bump heads with frustrated customers. Still, Yatra needs to prove their credibility by expanding and being more active about their service.

  1. Their Super savers deals are not reliable. Book directly from airlines if I were you, the process I had to endure with Yatra was frustrating, I was able to book my flight, then after a few minutes their customer service called and said that the flight was no longer available. Since I was only looking for a place to spend some leisure time, I tried other destinations, after 3 more bookings, the same result. I decided to stay home because yatra took away my appetite to travel.

    • I think some of the deals are good, I was able to book with them twice already, no extra fee, no problems at all. I guess they just can’t guarantee 100% service to all of their deals.
