The Tianjin Airlines used to be Grand China Express and was founded in 2004, with the aim of merging the major aviation with Hainan Airlines, China Xinhua Airlines, Chang An Airlines and Shanxi Airlines. However, in 2007 it received its official operating license by Civil Aviation Administration of China, at that the airline was one of China’s largest regional airline. On June 10, 2009 the name was changed to Tianjin Airlines.

A 52 year old Chinese, Mr. Wen Li Chen is the Executive Chairman of Tianjin Airlines. A bachelor’s degree holder from China Civil Aviation and one of the founders of Hainan Airlines in 1990, and serve as the Vice Chairman of Board Directors for the said Airlines.

Tianjin Airlines fought for victory!
The Tianjin Airlines is a regional airline with its main hub at Tianjin Binhai and Haikou Meilan International Airport. The fleet size of 85 is consist of 18 Airbus A320-200, 22 Embraer ERJ-145, and 45 Embraer ERJ-190. A member of International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The Tianjin Airlines is running the Top 5 from The Best Airlines in China according to Skytrax.

On June 29, 2012, an attempted hijacking placed a mark on Tianjin Airlines’ reputation in the Airline Industry. After ten minutes of initial take off the Embraer ERJ-190 as Flight 7554, one of the six Uyghur men announced the attempt to hijack, however the passengers and crew overpowered the six men and were able to turn the tables. The flight routed back to Hotan, wherein a total of 11 passengers and crew, and two hijackers were treated for their injuries. Two other hijackers died because of the injuries during the fight in the flight. On July 3 the Xinjiang government awarded $16,000 each to 10 passengers who bravely fought and stopped the hijackers. Due to that incident Tianjin Airlines vastly upgraded their security measures.

The Tianjin Airlines are similar to other regional airlines with Economy and First Class. They serve the Tianjin’s traditional snack Chatang, which is made of baked millet and glutinous millet flour, process of pouring boiling water to the mixed flour and adding sugar.

Recently Tianjin Airlines’ flight attendants ditched their uniforms and began wearing pyjamas or gowns while serving their passengers in-flight, the aim of such activity is to promote the benefits of a goodnight’s sleep. The organizer said many physical and physiological problems can be prevented or cured with proper sleep patterns.

In this Tianjin Airlines review, Tianjin is getting an average rating from their passengers. As to one reviewer recently said that he never heard of this airline until he tried them in July with an Embraer ERJ-190 from Tianjin to Ningbo and was impressed by the service standards. However he commented on the flight attendant’s English language skills which needs improvement but he never such an efficient and smiling attendant as Tianjing had. He also mentioned that the seats were comfortable, and the short trip meals were good too. He recommends the airlines as a must-try and won’t hesitate to fly them again this month. Conclusion
In this Tianjin Airlines review, the airline was persistent as ever. They stopped at nothing in order to achieve their goals. Like their Chinese mythical bird Jingwei bathing in sunlight as their symbol which flutters and soars high over the waves.
