I have used flight hub a number of times and enjoyed my experience. I think the only frustration I have had it that my mbna MasterCard never works so I can’t collect the points. When I call in to flight hub they say it is on the credit card company’s end and when I call the credit card they say there is nothing holding up then transaction on there end and it must be flight hub. I am not sure if there is a way for me to get it to work.

Thanks FlightHub! I was looking to book myself on the same flights as my boyfriend (we used RBC points for his) and found it to be extremely easy. I was pleasantly surprised by this, as the round trip flights were multi-airline with layovers. I would for sure be using FlightHub again.

We got to admit, Airbnb is too mainstream that it was alleged to be the most reliable and fastest growing travel rental site. As you remember, in October 2015 we wrote a review about Airbnb, if you’ll click on the link it will pretty much tell you how Airbnb started or originated. Airbnb stands for Airbed & Breakfast which was founded in August 2008 by Joe Gebbia and Brian Chesky. It’s almost 8 years, since the company had started, but it seems like consumers are not really as happy as the business sounds. Now, let’s take a closer look about Airbnb.

Airbnb didn’t change their interface since the last time we wrote about them, but what captured our attention was, the background image now is moving. To simplify things, Airbnb caters two kinds of services for “The Guest” and “The Host”, which both can be us. The Guest is basically the customer looking for a rental place and The Host is the one who owns the rental place.

But the biggest problem Airbnb is facing right now, is majorly on the management between The Host and Airbnb itself. That makes customers most of the time unhappy and unaccommodated with their concern, leaving their consumers confused as to whom they shall complain. Let’s check some of Airbnb reviews 2016.

When did Booking.com was founded? It wasn’t directly a creation by one person. The birth of the travel site was a merged from two booking sites in 2000. Bookings.nl of Geert-Jan Bruinsma and Bookings.org (Bookings Online) of Sicco and Alec Behrens, Marijn Muyser and Bas Lemmens. The name and URL were changed to “Booking.com” and the first CEO of the merged booking site was Mr. Stef Noorden.

Now, Booking’s parent organization is The Priceline Group, since they acquired the travel company for  USD133 million, which makes Kayak, Agoda, Priceline, Rentalcars and OpenTable its sister companies. Booking.com changed its name to Booking.com Limited and is now being led by their current CEO, Mr. Darren Huston who was formerly the president of The Priceline Group and the executive of Microsoft Corporation. It is quite obvious that the leader of Booking is one of the most respected CEOs of his generation.

To be honest, the first time I saw Booking, I thought it was an extension of Facebook in providing travel related services. Booking’s heading seems to be similar to Facebook’s. Booking had played a major role to the growth of Priceline from almost being bankrupt in 2002. The booking site offers the option to search and compare for the best deals from over 873,505 properties internationally.

Another good thing about Booking is their customer service is operational 24/7 and their global team helps customers in English plus over 40 other languages.

But a good old friend of mine told me “If it’s too good to be true, then it’s not true”. I guess, he was right about that:

I did try to check it manually and saw the most recent posted Booking reviews 2016 are all 1 star comments sharing about their unpleasant experience with Booking. Aside from that, when we tried to search for more Booking Reviews 2016, this is what we found out:

In A Nutshell
Even this icon on the left seems like the mobile icon app of Facebook. Geez, does Booking even have any slight originality? Judging through Booking reviews 2016, the booking site is definitely just a pretty face with too much flowery company description. I think Mr. Huston should at least look after the consumer complaints. But for now, Booking is not the best option for your travel itineraries.

What people are saying

FareCompare is one of the fastest growing travel planning websites, well that’s what they say on their “About us” page.

There were some reviews about their services and it’s not looking good for the agency. Negative reviews stating that FareCompare’s deals are not reliable at all. According to the reviews, most of the deals presented on the agency’s website are not valid. Their customer support also took some beating, one traveler was furious when he was on hold for 40 minutes and then halfway around booking his flight, his call was disconnected, so he tried calling again and disconnected once more.

Positive reviews from loyal customers defended the agency’s reputation by pointing out their strength. One particular attribute is their sophisticated airfare comparison that monitors flight deals and presents the cheapest one to the buyers. Nothing new really.

The Website

The website mainly allows customers to look for flights and hotel reservations easily. Other than flights and hotels, the website provides travel tips and advice for travelers to make the best out of their travel deals. There are also unique features that deserve to be mentioned, one is the “Ask Rick,” feature. Rick Seaney the CEO of FareCompare records podcast about travel management on the website for customers to listen to. They also include news about different travel factors with statistics.

Unfortunately, there were negative reviews about their website, being cluttered and full of pop-ups.

Customer Service

Their customer service phone line is open 24/7 for customer assistance. Review and cancellation of flights is also allowed on their website, just make sure you have your trip number. They also have email customer service mostly for notifying customers about the latest deals and updates about the company. To gain access to information, a FAQs page is uploaded on their website. Going back to the reviews, past customers say that the agency’s customer service is not efficient. Not good, maybe they need to evaluate and make improvements asap.

FareCompare’s main products are travel services and airfare information. Most agencies focus on promoting deals, FareCompare probably wanted to stand out, but there are many agencies just like them.

Their headquarters is located in Dallas, Texas, USA. FareCompare was nominated for World’s Leading Flight Comparison Website in 2013 and 2014 by World’s Travel Awards, but that’s it they were only nominated because in both years they lost to Kayak and Dohop.

Mouthshut.com provided a section for customers to write their feedback about Yatra. There were a mixture of good and bad reviews, some were saying that Yatra is the “King of offers,” while others call them “fraud and cheaters.” However, according to the results, 77% of the reviews gave Yatra one star and only 6% gave five star.

Most of the negative reviews were detailed and long, it seems that Yatra tends to mislead people with their offers especially with their packages. Do they do it on purpose or were they just honest mistakes? A fellow from India was disappointed when he found out that the “full package,” he reserved didn’t include baggage. When he complained, the company asked for extra charge for baggage allowance.

Yatra is being accused of providing fake promotions by angry customers. It may seem wrong for this accusation to be too harsh, but the thing is, those reviews were written to explain truthfully how they were deceived by Yatra.
