Since it has been a year, we will be starting to write new reviews about the travel sites we once wrote about last year, just to give you a heads up of the current status or changes of a particular online travel agency. Things can change in a span of a year, that’s why we decided on re-writing some of the written travel search engines and give you the freshest feedback for 2016.

In this review, we will be re-talking about Venere.

Venere  Reviews 2016

Venere must be a misspelled city of Italy (Venice) or a slang term for “Be Near”. Whatever has been the origin of the name itself, the fact about Venere rather than being a hotel, b&b, and apartment search engine is Venere was founded in 1995 by Marco Bellacci. Venere’s name was actually originated from Venus. As we noticed, Venere’ symbolic logo shows a similarity of the painting of “The Birth of Venus” by Sandro Botticelli in the mid 1480s. Venus is known as the goddess of love and beauty; let’s see if the beauty of Venere had reached  the hearts of their consumers.

Moving forward, Expedia bought and took over Venere in July 2008 after the retirement of the founder. Now, the management of Venere is under the CEO of Expedia, Dara Khosrowshahi, but not Expedia and Venere alone. He also operates over 150 booking travel sites such as Hotels.com, Hotwire, Egencia, and Trivago.

How does Venere work?

There’s no change made on Venere since the last time we checked their official site. The only change we noticed is the featured destination on their background, from Paris to Rome. Like the basics, Venere lets customers search for hotels deals by entering their preferred destination, hotel in mind, or by a landmark and address. But, if the customer doesn’t have any specific place to visit yet, they could use the option below for a random search from their latest hotel deals and offers.

The most popular cities known for their package deals are Rome, London, Paris, and Venice. Newsletter is their email subscription service wherein customers are given the option to subscribe and receive alerts and deals about Venere’s latest offers straight to their inbox, and save up to 50%.

Venere has a mobile app and it is the extended version of their services for customers who want to access these features mentioned above on their smartphones. The customers are entitled to see the hotel reviews by real guests, search for hotel reservations, b&b, and apartments, almost the same with the website itself. The Venere travel app is available for iOS and Android.

Venere Reviews 2016 from Consumers

On the side of customers’ concern nothing have changed, consumers are still all out on their complaints against Venere services. The same concern arises about bad experiences due to fake offers. Others focus more on complaining about not using this company because their customer service representatives are rude and unprofessional which lead users to advice other potential customers to stay away from Venere.

Not alone, the Venere reviews had made an impression to the online hotel and apartments search engine’s poor standing in the travel industry. But also, ever since the founder sold Venere to Expedia, there wasn’t much growth. How long will they last? I guess being bought by Expedia was a bad idea after all.

What can you say about Venere? Feel free to share your thoughts below!

After compiling, reading and checking some Air Dolomiti reviews, I really loved how they served  their customers. This is the main and only reason why passengers love to fly with them. Aside from their upgrading accommodation and services and also their value and worth, they let their customers feel; this is one of the important factors an airline should always remember. Air Dolomiti taught as a lot of lessons simply by serving their customers
