Online travel agencies are now found everywhere. This is due to the increase of demand in the travel market. But, we are not fully aware which of which are the real and fake ones. In this review, we’ll be looking at flycheapo. Let’s see, if we should trust this travel site.
flycheapo is a travel search engine which gives results from 5,400 European low-cost airline routes, 370 airports with budget routes, and 47 more countries with budget routes. Basically, flycheapo is a specialist guide to flying with low-cost airlines in Europe. The European airline specialist was founded in 2009 as a private limited company.
How does flycheapo work?
Looking at the interface of flycheapo makes customers confused on how to use the travel site, wherein basically with other travel sites, the option to enter their location, destination, and duration date is promptly shown on the main page. But, with flycheapo, the alphabet from A-Z is shown as an option to click.
This is because, using flycheapo is searching for a destination with the first letter of the place. For example, the traveller is looking for Croatia. Then he needs to click on “C”. It will automatically redirect the user to another page with a list of destinations starting with C. Customers just have to search for its desired destination select-click method. This will redirect them to another page that gives the option to select either an airport or a country from which they wish to fly.
In this review, I tried selecting Czech Republic’s Prague. It gave me facts about Croatia’s major settlements, airports, and other respective useful details. It also showed two airlines from Prague which are SmartWings and Click4Sky; once the customer decides to book with one of the given airlines, they just have to click the airline name and this will show the option to click “Book now”. After doing so, flycheapo will redirect the customer to the official site of the selected airline.
flycheapo Reviews of Consumers
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to find any flycheapo reviews online. There are no feedback shown regarding about flycheapo. None from TrustPilot, Skytrax, SiteJabber, ConsumerAffairs, and ProductReview. The reputation of the travel site remained unknown for seven years. This might be because they are just redirecting all searches to the official site of the selected airline. Customers ended up searching directly on the airline and totally forgot flycheapo.
How To Reach Them?
There are three options to stay informed with flycheapo, through subscribing to their email services (which says “Cannot connect to Database, please check your configuration” when I tried subscribing), following them on their Twitter account, or getting subscribed to RSS for the latest news headlines about flycheapo. Their registered address is at 2 High Royd Lane, Sheffield, S36 7JR, United Kingdom.
After looking at flycheapo, I am still not convinced to use the airline search engine. First, the page looks not modernized. Second, no legit origin and ownership. And lastly, it just really looks doubtful. They use the kind of cybersquatting method like other scam online travel agencies. Remember, it is still best to do your research before booking with any unknown travel site.
