Misterbnb Reviews

The new travel startup is called Misterbnb and was founded in 2013 in Paris, France by Matthieu Jost, François de Landes, Marc Dedonder and Julien Delon. Initially it was a combination of the gay travel site, myGayTrip and Sejourning, it was then envisioned to be the gay-friendly version of Airbnb since co-founder Matthieu was a customer of Airbnb before but had mixed results with their service.

Well, if the name of the travel company sounds familiar, it’s because it’s close to “Airbnb”. Misterbnb is modeled after Airbnb which primarily provided rented lodging to the LGBT community. Forbes once called this site the “gay Airbnb”, well it’s not some sort of discrimination because the site tells people to “Travel with Pride”.

PROS
We shouldn’t be looking down at Misterbnb if we have issues of gender equality. The travel site doesn’t distinguish difference but promotes equality to every individual even with different gender preference. It was never wrong to be a gay at all.
Misterbnb Reviews-page
The company’s slogan is “Rent a gay room and a gay bed & breakfast, and travel with pride” and in just a few years, they were able to provide us search results from thousands of rooms available in 65 countries. In 2015, this grew to 25,000 hosts in over 130 countries. Misterbnb guarantees that 60% of their hosts don’t use other sharing accommodation sites.

CONS
Let me warn you beforehand, Misterbnb is not one trusted site not because of their aim of gender equality, but because they are somehow similar to Airbnb over reviews. Tripadvisor has a forum, wherein one of their consumers had mentioned “Stay away from misterbnb gay accommodation site!” Let’s hear him out. The customer actually said:

“This company is not working in professional way. They have communication problem as well as lack of problem solving ability. The worst thing is their very late payment transfer to the hosts. I got a payment confirmation and they sent less amount than they confirmed! Ridiculous!

How To Reach Them?
Misterbnb Reviews-contact
For some reason given the popularity of the gay-version of Airbnb, it has limited contact information. The only information we had was their origin and their head office located at “Delaware, United States”, which is too general. However, some registration show that their head office is in “San Francisco, CA” which confuses us to where are they really based? Well, it’s easy to just come up with “We are headquartered in ‘somewhere’, USA”. Though here’s another information we had in case consumers need to reach them: their contact email “support@misterbnb.com.”

Advice To Revise
The growth of Misterbnb is somehow similar to Airbnb, though I hope somehow they won’t follow the footsteps of Airbnb in customer service, BUT THEY ACTUALLY DID. Since we are aware of the case Airbnb are into recently, wherein mismanagement leads to equality and accommodation over the host and the guest.

Since it has been a year, we will be starting to write new reviews about the travel sites we once wrote about last year, just to give you a heads up of the current status or changes of a particular online travel agency. Things can change in a span of a year, that’s why we decided on re-writing some of the written travel search engines and give you the freshest feedback for 2016.

In this review, we will be re-talking about Airbnb.

Airbnb Reviews 2016
page
We got to admit, Airbnb is too mainstream that it was alleged to be the most reliable and fastest growing travel rental site. As you remember, in October 2015 we wrote a review about Airbnb, if you’ll click on the link it will pretty much tell you how Airbnb started or originated. Airbnb stands for Airbed & Breakfast which was founded in August 2008 by Joe Gebbia and Brian Chesky. It’s almost 8 years, since the company had started, but it seems like consumers are not really as happy as the business sounds. Now, let’s take a closer look about Airbnb.

How does Airbnb work?
This image below, specifically explained where was the company logo originated from:
Airbnb Reviews 2016-logo definition
Airbnb didn’t change their interface since the last time we wrote about them, but what captured our attention was, the background image now is moving. To simplify things, Airbnb caters two kinds of services for “The Guest” and “The Host”, which both can be us. The Guest is basically the customer looking for a rental place and The Host is the one who owns the rental place.

But the biggest problem Airbnb is facing right now, is majorly on the management between The Host and Airbnb itself. That makes customers most of the time unhappy and unaccommodated with their concern, leaving their consumers confused as to whom they shall complain. Let’s check some of Airbnb reviews 2016.

Airbnb Reviews 2016 from Customers
The most recent Airbnb reviews 2016, is this news site that even gathered 6 reasons why we should reconsider other sites (take your time to read):

Other Airbnb reviews 2016 were posted yesterday by Forbes which talk about the unnamed New York hosts which were accused of not paying taxes on the income and, in some cases violating the New York housing laws. If you’ll remember, this brought a suit against Airbnb. But on a positive note, slowly the company had learned to start paying taxes.

Conclusion
Airbnb Reviews 2016-conclusion
However, given this news, Airbnb reviews 2016, the infamous home-sharing site had not won the favor of its own consumers. On Trustpilot, out of 1,008 Airbnb reviews 2016, they gathered an overall score of 2/10 rating. This will leave you questioning “Are they really reliable?”. I guess, the problem they are currently facing nowadays really had brought them down. It’s best if they should manage their hosts properly to assure customers or “The Guest” a pleasant service.
