Air Malta Reviews
Air Malta Reviews-country flag
We can’t get enough of Malta. Yesterday, we just wrote a review regarding their airport:
Malta International Airport. Please don’t find this redundant, but we’re now writing a review about their flag carrier: Air Malta. These reviews are not created or paid by the Maltese government, these are made for guide and reference of tourists who are interested to know more about Malta or travellers who are about to see the beauty of this archipelago.

Air Malta traces its roots back to 1973. When two of the several small private airlines (formed shortly after World War II) merged. Now known as the national airline of Malta and “The airline of the Maltese Islands” (as their company slogan says), Air Malta is operated by 8 Airbus aircraft based in Malta International Airport and services routes to 37 destinations internationally.

Flying with Air Malta

Travellers can enjoy one of the two cabin classes offered in Air Malta: Economy or Business Class.

Air Malta Reviews-EconomyEconomy Class – passengers are given the option to their “Spoil Yourself” service wherein customers have the freedom to choose their seat in advance and for free, more luggage allowance and booking management and adjustments. Complimentary snacks and a small bottle of water are offered in this cabin class. Snacks consist of a bread roll which is served with various fillings that are changed according to the different flight times during the day.

Air Malta Reviews-Business Class-MealBusiness Class – passengers receive the finest experience with priority check in, baggage handling and access to their La Valette airport lounge. Customers flying this class are on a separate cabin space offered with special menus and free drinks. Business Class passengers will be offered either a cold meal or a hot meal according to the length of their flight. Furthermore, when travelling in Business Class, all drinks, both hot and cold, are complimentary to all our passengers.

Official Website

I personally love how the official page looks like. Not only how it physically looks, but also how it works. The navigation is smooth and crisp. This has certainly the definition of a modern website nowadays. Kudos to ICON (web designer) who made a masterpiece.
Air Malta Reviews-page
Air Malta’s page lets customers find and book for flights, hotel accommodations and car rentals services. The site also provides the option to check-in and manage bookings online. Basically, the official website is the discover-plan-book-manage method type of service.

mobile siteThe national airline of Malta doesn’t have a mobile application, but a mobile site travellers can visit. There’s also an option to access mobile booking from the main page located at the top right of the page, in orange bar and below the language selector. As noticeable, Air Malta promotes mostly flights from and to Malta, this is because they want to boost the tourism of their country since Malta, the nation, is known for historic sites related to a succession of rulers including the Romans, Moors, Knights of St. John, French and British.

Air Malta had really caught my attention, I will surely be flying with them sometime this year. If I will be the judge of scoring them overall, I’ll give them a perfect 10/10 score. Information about the airline’s origin, service and news are complete. Awards? Last year, they were at the 6th place in the “Best Regional Airlines in Europe” category at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2015. We are looking forward to see this airline on this year’s “World’s Top 100 Airlines”.
