The Beginning of SriLankan Airlines
SriLankan Airlines traces its roots back as Air Lanka in 1947 after the bankruptcy of Air Ceylon. Initially, Air Lanka started with 2 Boeing 707 by Singapore Airlines. The airline was rebranded to SriLankan Airlines in 1998; the female flight attendant’s uniform remain unchanged with a touch of Sri Lankan national dress called “Osariya”. Designs are based from a peacock which is also the company logo contrasting the color of the Sri Lankan flag.

He was bachelor and master’s degree holder from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, he is also known as human-factors researcher and practitioner.

The national carrier of Sri Lanka is in alliance with Oneworld since 2014. The airline’s main base is at Bandaranaike International Airport with 21 aircrafts serving over 100 destinations worldwide. SriLankan Airlines recently was awarded “Best Airline Operator from South Asia” for its sixth consecutive year by Kuala Lumpur International Awards (KLIA); “World Class standard for SriLankan Airlines’ IT systems” by Informations Security Management System (ISMS) and “Best Print Media Presentation in Travel & Tourism” by Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Tourism.

SriLankan Inflight Services
There are only two classes of service in SriLankan Airlines: Economy and Business Class.

However, in most of the SriLankan Airlines reviews, customers are complaining majority about the legroom space of this class as being too narrow.

Customer’s inflight entertainment in this class are given a personal audio video system where they can browse a list of movies, TV shows, book, music and games.

The website gives a relaxed mood for travelers with a white and grey layout. Fonts and tabs are designed to be visible and understandable. The majority of the page shows promotions of the latest offers and holiday deals the airline is providing. To start off, the language selector is located on the top right of the website.

The features of the official website lets travelers book and manage their flights, check-in online, check flight status, inflight entertainment, airline policies and access to their frequent flyer program FlySmiles. If consumers are wary about booking their flight online, “Before you book” service will help them to know more about the rules, regulations and security of the airline’s online booking.

The travel app of SriLankan Airlines is not really useful as per customer reviews about the mobile application, getting poor reviews by their consumers. The mobile of the airline lets customers check-in online, view new and past boarding passes, check flight status and access to FlySmiles.

Customer Feedback
With the overall score of 7/10 for Srilankan Airlines reviews, the airline really focuses on maintaining this achievement. The passengers of the airline keep praising them for their exceptional good airfare and most of the customers recommend the airline to be used by others. One reviewer with a return flight from London to Colombo via Business Class in a new Airbus A330-300 said her seat pods were very comfortable with a good range of entertainment. She noted that the food was good and the cabin crew were attentive but slightly reserved.

However, she was not happy with a horrible stink in the cabin. Overall she was pleased with her experience with the airlines and gave them a 9 out 10 rating according to AirlineRatings.com

Conclusion
According to some of ​SriLankan Airlines reviews, the airline is known for their crew’s rudeness. However several reviews are overall happy with the quality of service SriLankan Airlines uniquely provides. Even though they are getting mixed feedback from passengers they never tried to accommodate those minor concerns. Maybe if SriLankan Airlines will take time to plan changes for improvement, maybe by then the airline might have a good impression in sum total. What can you say about them?   1. My Sri Lankan experience was not close to outstanding. I booked a flight via Economy class and I am surprised with the menu list for foods being expensive. On board entertainment was as good as nothing. There’s a stink in the cabin that the crew are not even attentive about on deodorizing it. I swear I am not gonna fly with them, never again.
