Shuttle America Reviews
The American regional airline traces its roots back to 1995 with David Hackett and started operations in 1998 as a low-cost commuter airline headquartered in Connecticut (location of Bradley International Airport). The airline initially started with routes to Buffalo, New York. What made this airline successful in a short time was its low-fares promo at $29. The fleet started off with a 50-seat N801SA. In the same year, Shuttle America added more aircraft and destinations.
Now, Shuttle America had grown to a fleet size of 113 Embraer aircraft operating destinations as United Express and Delta Connection. The airline’s parent company is Republic Airways Holdings and their current CEO is Bryan Bedford.
Flying with Shuttle America
The site shows a list of information as to how it is to fly with them, whereas customers travelling with pets are allowed and well accommodated, provided kennels must fit under the seat and pets must remain in the kennel at the airport, during boarding/deplaning, and during all phases of flight. Seats may not be purchased for the pet.
For children travelling alone, the policies will depend on which airline will they fly with under Republic Airways Holdings, because carriers make frequent changes to their websites.
NO Official Website
Trying to get on the official site of Shuttle America will redirect customers to the Republic Airways Holdings page which shows all the partners of the airline head which are: American Airlines, Delta, and United Airlines. Republic Airways Holdings, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, is an airline holding company with its business strategy developed by their experienced team of senior airline executives.
Though, unfortunately, Shuttle America doesn’t have a mobile version of their services or information shown online. But, they are confident somehow that information shown online are enough to answer all customer’s queries. To be honest, I doubt that.
Shuttle America Reviews of Travellers
Looking through Shuttle America reviews flying via United Express, customers seem to be more pleased flying with them more than other airlines. One review, where the customer said:
“Shuttle America operates codeshare regional flights for United and they use somewhat smaller regional jets. The great thing about their planes is they’re all 2+2 seating, which means no middle seat.
As I’ve mentioned before in my other airline reviews, I’ve been traveling a lot on business lately. We have to use our own booking service, which doesn’t allow us to choose our own seats. It seems like whenever fly on business, I always get stuck with the middle seat.
What a relief to not have to sit there for a change!”

Shuttle America might be working behind those major airlines or air carrier giants. We might not see Shuttle America’s logo on some airlines flying under their management. But, we should consider that this American regional airline had been consistent and generous in providing travelling service to keep their customers well accommodated.
