Goibibo is a product of Ibibo Group, an Indian online travel organization founded by Ashish Kashyap in 2007. However Goibibo sprouted by ideas of Ashish Kashyap, Sanjay Bhasin, Deepak Tuli and Vikalp Sahni and was completed in 2009. The aim of Goibibo is to enable travelers to search, compare and buy from several categories of airfares, hotel reservations and bus tickets.

Why Goibibo?
Goibibo doesn’t have an attraction background of tourist spots like other travel sites. However the overall interface of the page is simple but easy to understand. Blue and orange is the theme color and the features let travelers search and compare flights, hotel reservations, bus, holidays and their new budget room service.
The later part only shows access and information about Goibibo itself and more links to their social media accounts, other airlines and online travel agencies. The payment options are also visible at the bottom left of which means they accept credit and debit card payments too.

However the middle part which promotes the latest deals and offers is not that noticeable because it just looks like a Microsoft document with an option to book now. If customers won’t pay close attention they won’t realize it’s an offer with limited validity.
Goibibo Reviews - mobile app
The mobile app of Goibibo was designed for their company slogan “We love travel”, wherein customers can enjoy information about hotel, flight schedules and bus bookings. Travelers can also grab the last minute booking deals, special discounts and completed details of hotels, cabin classes of airlines and bus routes. The travel app is available for iOS, Android and Windows users.

Goibibo was honored as “India’s No.1 Brand” by Online Travel & Leisure category of No.1 Brand Awards Council held in Hyatt Regency Hotel, Mumbai on June 1, 2015. The same year, they received the “Economic Times Best Promising Brand Award 2015” held in Sahara Star Hotel on March 26, 2015.

Why NOT Goibibo?
According to the most of Goibibo reviews, the online travel agency had a bad impression to its users. Their own customers are really mad about their services and they even considered Goibibo to have poor service, worst customer experience, with worst people: pathetic, cheater and a fake company. Let me share you one of the most recent reviews dated November 3, 2015:

“I have booked a hotel reservation in City Palace with Goibibo, check in date is October 24th would check out the following day. As we reached the hotel, a hotel staff said that they no longer work with Goibibo.com and I felt really troubled. I called their customer service several times and no one wants to accommodate my concern, so I decided to just file a complaint to the high level consumer court. I hope Goibibo will see this, if they do, call me and tell me what’s going on”

In this review, the consumer provided his actual number but a reply is still not showing on his complaint. Goibibo should atleast have the courtesy to say sorry.

According to some Goibibo reviews, the online travel meta search engine is one of the promising travel sites but mainly focused within India. I wonder how their international services works if their domestic services are not even efficient.   1. Goibibo is a scam. I booked a flight, received a confirmation. Showed up at the airport and guess what – no ticket. Arline could see the ticket but it was canceled by Goibibo. They still charged the card. It was impossible to get anyone on the phone. I disputed the charge with the credit card. Credit card was able to get through, and connected me to their billing. They informed me it will be 6-8 weeks to get refund. So I proceeded with the dispute anyway.
