Since it has been a year, we will be starting to write new reviews about the travel sites we once wrote about last year, just to give you a heads up of the current status or changes of a particular online travel agency. Things can change in a span of a year, that’s why we decided on re-writing some of the written travel search engines and give you the freshest feedback for 2016.
In this review, we will be re-talking about FlightStats.
FlightStats Reviews 2016
If we recall, FlightStats traces its roots back to 2001 and it has been 15 years. The travel company was founded by Tod Hutchinson and Jeff Kennedy, wherein Hutchinson is still their current CEO and Kennedy as the President. Tod Hutchinson had applied his 25 years of experience in corporate finance to expand FlightStats.
Flightstats is not actually a selling travel company, reviews don’t surface very often unlike with leading travel agencies like Flighthub, Expedia, or Hotwire. The company strives to provide accurate information for as many airlines as they can.
How does FlightStats Work?
Since the last time we wrote a review about FlightStats, we noticed that there was a slight change in the interface of FlightStats. The search bar was more visible and the background is my favorite, which was a window view while on air, even the clouds are in motion.
As mentioned above, FlightStats doesn’t actually serve as the middle man for selling. Their main goal is to provide flight information and status to monitor progress. In simple terms, FlightStats is a tracker, not a seller, a customer information provider.
To establish a more convenient way of checking flight statuses, the company created their own mobile application for smartphones. Information about flight schedules, flight numbers and airlines are easily disseminated through the app.
FlightStats Reviews 2016 from Consumers
To be honest, there aren’t FlightStats reviews shown online to evaluate the company’s performance in the industry. Though, FlightStats got a 5 out of 5 star rating on Sitejabber. Both reviews were positive, that’s right, there are only two reviews about FlightStats and they are pretty much outdated. As a travel company in business 15 years, it’s a little odd that the agency doesn’t get talked about much.
On Glassdoor, there were online reviews. But, we should be aware that FlightStats reviews coming from this site are not from consumers yet from their employees, sharing their opinion about working for the travel company. Feedback show some gaps within the company like employees aren’t getting along that much and customer service isn’t that efficient.
How To Reach Them?
- Website URL: http://www.flightstats.com/go/Home/home.do
- Contact Number: 503.274.0938
- Fax Number: 503.274.0939
- Head Office Address: 522 SW 5th Ave. Suite 200 Portland, OR 97204, USA
On a positive note, it’s quite amazing for FlightStats to cater mostly in providing travel service information. For travelers who are having a hard time dealing with travel agencies’ and airlines’ customer service, Flightstats might be an option, but maybe if they’ll improve on their customer service. Though, we should remember, providing accurate information is their forte.
