Online Travel Agencies
We review online travel agencies so you can know who's giving out the best deals and save yourself some money!

0 180

It’s time to take a look at how Justfly is doing in 2018.  JustFly is owned by Momentum Travel Group, a large American based travel company. They run other online travel agencies as well, but Justfly is one of their main brands. They service millions of customers worldwide, primarily however focusing on the US market. They’ve been in business for 20 years.

In this review we’re going to be looking at the most accurate way to judge a company from afar, by seeing what their actual customers are saying about the experiences they’ve had with them. This can be a trick task as it can be a challenge to find reputable sources that provide actual customer testimonials.

We’re going to be looking at two main trusted sources to gather this information, TrustPilot and SiteJabber. they are both very large online review platforms that  play in fairness to the customer and the company and are not biased in either direction. Both websites require that customers submit actual booking itinerary or invoice numbers before submitting a review, the numbers are then verified with the company providing the service and if everything goes well then the customer’s review is verified and posted online. It’s important to have these measures in place because often times competitors will pay 3rd party companies to spam their competition on review platforms.

JustFly TrustPilot Reviews

Right off the bat, things look great for JustFly on TrustPilot. It seems as though the company has done both a good job in servicing their customers needs and communicating with upset customers to resolve issues that were posted on TrustPilot. They received an overall score of 5/5 stars out of 136,916 overall reviews which is astonishing. But, let’s take a closer look.

The most recent JustFly review left on the Truspilot page was from “Janice” who gave them a 4 star review stating:

So far so good. No real issues. It was easy to book and we received a good deal. I thought I purchased seat selection and I even wrote them down, but I don’t have a receipt for them. When I clicked on seat selection, It seemed to have charged my credit card. I do not know if I paid twice or not. Phone call I guess.

We’re unsure of the outcome on whether or not Janice did indeed pay twice or if she was double charged but it seems as though she was satisfied with her order all in all. We’re also aware that JustFly is good if issues like that do occur, they’re known to quickly reimburse their customers.

The next review came from Antwan who gave the company a 5 star review and stated;

JustFly was quick and easy to use, not to mention I saved a few hundred dollars! Definitely a win/win

JustFly Reviews on SiteJabber

The next platform we’ll be looking at for our JustFly reviews is SiteJabber.com. Another trusted online review platform like TrustPilot who requires customers to provide booking details in order to confirm that the statements given are actually true. All in all they received a total of 2,422 reviews with a final total score of 3.5 stars out of 5. A little less perfect than TrustPilot, so let’s have a closer look at what people are saying.

The first review that we’ll be looking at comes from James a. who gave them a 5 star review for his trip to Japan stating:

Just fly was cheaper than anyone else. Got the exact same flight as other website, just cheaper. now i have to write more for 100 characters

Well it’s kind of funny around the end what was written but great to hear that the flight was cheaper than everyone else he looked at seeing as for a lot of customers price is the first and foremost thing that they look at when purchasing a ticket.
The next review came from Carol D. who gave yet another 5 star review, let’s see what she said about her experience:

Everything went smoothly. We had no problems whatsoever. Would use JustFly again. The money saved was substantial, service great and just an all in all good experience.

You can also see in her review she filled out the emta details. SiteJabber gives customers the option to rate individual aspects of their experience rather than just rating the overall experience. When this is done Sitejabber actually averages out the overall star rating from the meta details and creates the overall star rating score. One thing we found kind of funny was that she had rated the “shipping” as 5 stars. We guess since everything else was 5 star she ticked this off the same way since it doesn’t apply.

This bring rise to questioning JustFlys overall score. Seeing as a art of the rating is actually comprised of elements taht are not applicable to their service how often do customers become confused and just give non applicable services a 1 star rating. This could explain the large difference from the rating that we saw on Trustpilot versus the rating we see here on sitejabber.

All in all, JustFly seems to be doing a great job keeping their customers happy and we have personal experience using the company and have had nothing but a good experience. We rarely highly rate companies on TheFlightReviews but considering everything JustFly is one of those exceptions that we give a 5 star rating to.
We hope that you enjoyed reading these JustFly Reviews and have safe and happy travels!

FlightHub Reviews 2018

The time has come to have another look at all of the companies who we reviewed last year, to see if they changed, how they changed and what’s good and bad about them in 2018. This article is going to focus on the online travel agency, Flighthub.com, a Canadian based online travel agency from Cornwall Ontario, with 3 other offices around the globe. FlightHub currently employs around 800 people and is known as the largest online travel agency to serve Canada, although they serve the international market as well.

Firstly, to determine what is going on with any company, the first measure we take is looking online to see what their actual customers have been saying about them. This can be a difficult task given that the internet is filled with anonymity making it difficult to discern if the review was indeed legitimate. To bypass this issue we will only be looking at trusted review sources like SiteJabber and TrustPilot. Why are these platforms trusted review platforms? Not just anyone can post a review on these sites. They have a rigorous screening process requiring customers to provide things like a booking number or invoice number from the product they purchased. The review site then corresponds the information to the company that provided the service.

What Real Customers are Saying About FlightHub.com

The first site that we’ll look at is call SiteJabber.com. SiteJabber allows customers to sign up and post their experience with a company to that companies page. It’s a two way street because company owners now have a platform to speak to their customers directly from that page and correct any would be issues.

Here we can see the overall SiteJabber score that FlightHub.com received was 3.5 stars out of 5, totaling from 2,272 reviews.

 SiteJabber

That’s a pretty solid score considering the majority of customers who feel compelled to write reviews in the first place are ones who are upset with a company. But let’s look at the breakdown of what comprises that score. SiteJabber allows customers to score a company based on 5 elements, the ratings of each of those elements is what creates the overall review score.

Generally everything is above a 4 star rating, except for the shipping but that is likely due to the fact that FlighHub doesn’t ship products and so when customers are asked to rate that portion of their experience they just click whichever star since it isn’t applicable. This would be the reason why FlightHub doesn’t have at least a 4 star rating on the review platform.

Now let’s see what their actual customers are saying on the site.

Review 1. Margaret. P – 5 Stars

I ordered some flights on flighthub and it was cheaper than expected! I caught all my flights and it was super smooth.

Review 2.  Christian B. – 5 Stars

Quick , efficient and no hassle. Have been booking with flight hub for a few years now. Returns are a sinch too.

Review 3.  Alexandra H. – 5 Stars

I would definitely go through flight hub again. Thank you. I’m glad that it was so easy because i have only flown a couple of times and it made it less stressful.

Looking at all of those positive reviews may have readers thinking that the results are skewed. To be fair to our readers and to FlightHub, we randomly selected those 3 reviews and they all happened to be 5 star ratings. There are less than favorable ratings on SiteJabber but they are impressively few and few between and with any company are very much expected.

Now that we’ve taken a look at some Flighthub reviews on SiteJabber, let’s look at another popular yet trusted review platform, TrustPilot.

Just like SiteJabber, TrustPilot is a review platform that takes considerable effort to prevent false reviews from appearing on it’s site. We first will look at the FlightHubs overall score on TrustPilot.

The overall score that Flighthub received is comprised of over 70,000 real customers and totals a stunning 4 out of 5 star rating. This is indeed impressive again, considering when people feel the urge to leave a review, they normally are not happy customers. Let’s have a closer look at what people are actually saying about FlightHub on TrustPilot.

Review 1 – Michelle – 5 Stars

The price was cheaper than booking with the airline direct. I received the price drop alert and booked right away. The process was very easy.

Review 2 – Michael- 5 Stars

Clear website organization; easy to navigate and to understand. Helped us find lowest prices…

Review 3 – Sachinkumar – 4 Stars

It was good experience but i don’t like they all extra charge by default like insurance, sear selection charge etc.

Again, while looking for these reviews on TrustPilot, we randomly selected the reviews. So, again the results may seem skewed but after perusing the TrustPilot page a bit more we did notice a very positive trend which reflected the overall score of 4/5 stars.

Based on the information above we can surmise that FlightHub.com is doing well by they customers in 2018. All of the reviews in this article were indeed legitimate but as usual we do encourage our readers to look at those pages for themselves to verify the legitimacy of what we are writing and of course dpeending on when you’re reading this review things may change.

So that’s it, we hope that our 2018 FlightHub review has been informative. We understand that purchasing a ticket online can be a daunting process but given everything it looks as though you should be fine purchasing your flight through Flighthub.

Happy and safe travels!

Concluding Words About the Service

Though there were few to no Meetingselect reviews online, I think the Meetingselect team did an acceptable job maintaining their website. I thought their website didn’t stand out though this made it easily understandable. You can easily book a meeting place venue through the website though what the places are like is unclear.

Reviews/ What Users Have to Say

We found some HotelPlanner reviews on TripAdvisor and TrustPilot. Here is one complaint from “Johane:” ‘I booked with hotel planner on the net, I do not recommend that they provide false information just to do the sale. But tradewind staff were really nice to provide us with the type of room we had booked for with hotel — we had asked and paid for an apart, but hotel planner booked us with a studio.”

“I found a hotel where I could pay closer to the time in which I was staying (for my budget) and I booked a hotel in Panama City Beach for September, haven’t stayed at the hotel or anything BUT I got a confirmation and it only lets you modify it, or download it/print it but won’t let me sign up for an actual account with the site (to keep up with everything) it just has the option to sign in. If they could fix that it probably would be more popular with the charge later options,” another wrote. So far, HotelPlanner had made mistakes with people’s bookings.

iEscape Reviews 2017

Introduction

iEscape Reviews 2017 brand logoTravelling for some people means an escape into a new life. When some want a break, they fly to a dream destination to refresh their senses and recharge for a different perspective.

In our IEscape reviews, we look at the service based in Bristol, the United Kingdom and what users think of their experience.

Background, History, and More Information

IEscape is for travellers who can search for travel needs in an instant. The Bristol-based company has hotels in more than 50 countries.

The IEscape team of travellers and techies hunted down the best places to stay from all over the world, making sure of their quality and their value for money. The site features descriptions on these accommodations, and has some of the most convenient and unique filter criteria to help anyone find their hotel, be it a guesthouse, retreat, lodge, etc.

Reviews/ What Users Have to Say

There were a number of IEscape reviews on TripAdvisor and TrustPilot. On these reviews websites, IEscape received an average rating though majority of the IEscape reviews called the service a “scam” and “misleading.”

Concerning one IEscape booker’s hotel experience, Jeremy J from London wrote: “If you are booking through i-escape, beware, their information is out of date and their view is frankly rubbish. The stone cottage is not romantic and is totally unsuited for honeymooners, it has twin beds, is dark and dusty and was cold in January, the wood-burner made my wife smell like a kipper and me, apparently, like a smoky backwoodsman – go figure!”

Their Official Website

IEscape is filled with an airy design and large photographs. Visiting their official website, you will encounter the usual travel website features and services: IEscape features Places to Stay and Inspire Me to guide travellers.

Search for your hotel on the search engine at the middle of the page by entering your destination and hotel or place name. As mentioned, IEscape will inspire travellers with their inspiration for hotels if you’re not sure where to go.

They have a blog, which you can read from their official website, here. The i-escape blog has travel inspiration and insights on boutique hotels from the IEscape team. You can also sign up for IEscape’s newsletter from the homepage.

Concluding Words

iEscape Reviews 2017 brand iconMeanwhile, Laurence Barrett from London warns us: “Worth being very careful when booking through this site as they cann be misleading. We recently booked a hotel through i-escape even though Booking.com and Trivago were cheaper, as the website clearly suggested a 15 day cancellation policy. However, we later discovered we had paid the full amount on reservation, a fact which was hidden away in the small print… This is a borderline scam but short of a legal challenge there is not much you can do.”

IEscape had been giving their users poor quality hotels, bad customer service, and confusing policies. What made things worse was their lack of professionalism.

Tablet Reviews 2017

Introduction

When you start planning your travel, choosing the right hotel makes up a significant portion of your budget and consideration. Staying in a hotel is a make-or-break situation most of the time. Hotels of whatever kind are an important part of your vacation. They should be carefully selected, considering they’re where you spend most of your time, sleep and eat in, live in for a night or two, and experience your home away from home.

Our Tablet reviews gather information about the travel service and website, their background and history, and what travellers report of their experience.

Tablet Hotels Reviews 2017 brand logo

Background, History, and More Information

Tablet was founded in 2000 by veterans Laurent Vernhes and Michael Davis to answer to the need to find unusual hotels that deliver more than the basic services. As lovers of travel, their expert team carefully selects and maintains only the hotels that remain within their standards or those that offer the lowest prices. Reviews from customers add to the hotel search experience on their website.

Tablet’s CEO and Co-Founder, Laurent Vernhes, a native of France, was educated at Supélec, Insead, and is an HBS OPM45 Alumni. During his work with web agency Razorfish, he met Michael Davis, Co-Founder of Tablet, on his quest towards the perfect hotel. Vernhes, who had recently launched his champagne label Maison Vernhes, had previously held positions with Michelin and News Corporation.

Reviews/ What Users Have to Say

There aren’t many Tablet reviews online. However, we found one on TripAdvisor. The writer had to cancel his hotel room reservation from a hotel he booked using Tablet. Since Tablet was used to book the hotel, the reviewer had further problems negotiating with the hotel, Hotel Cram, getting his refund. Titling his Tablet reviews “be careful with reserving through Tablet Hotels,” he reported that one of Tablet’s hotels had this unhelpful cancellation policy. He wouldn’t be able to use the room due to unforeseen circumstances, yet was told he would still be charged after cancelling his reservation.

This was the only Tablet review online. Based on the customer’s experience, one of their hotels proved to be unaccommodating. The lack of Tablet reviews highlights this problem with the customer service some of Tablet’s hotels have.

Reviews and What Customers Had to Say

Unfortunately, there are little to no Group Hotels reviews online from which to base our opinion on. In this case, we will rely on the general appearance of their official website to come up with our own Group Hotels reviews. Their site had a Testimonials page, however, and these were what Group Hotels customers reported:

The service’s users were pleased that the free service fulfilled their arrangements and gave them the options they couldn’t find elsewhere. From many rooms in a single hotel to fitting everything under an organization’s small budget, most of these Group Hotels reviewers had used Group Hotels before and trust their travels with the company.

“Extreme Disappointment with Webjet pricing”

I rarely write bad reviews but I could not hold myself to write about my extreme disappointed experience with Webjet prices.  I usually, buy travel itinerary on Expedia, Travelocity, Priceline, or direct from the Airline websites.  While searching online I stumbled upon Webjet website and found prices were quite lower than others.  So immediately I booked the desired itinerary for my family of three.  However, after few hours received an email that

“We are sorry to inform you we are not able to process your reservation because the airline has changed the fare amount from the time you made the reservation to the time when we tried to issue the ticket(s).

The new airfare which was quoted by the airlines now is $ 3839.88 including Taxes and fees (note travel insurance is separate).”

I called and asked about the price increase, according to the webjet agent the airline increased the price they cannot do anything, but when I checked on the webjet website the price was still same as it was yesterday.  I did not accept the new increased price and canceled it.

Then, after a few days, I made another reservation on webjet website and the same thing happened.  I received an email that price has been increased by the airline.  So I went and checked the price on the airline website, the price was lower than the newer price webjet was offering but yet on Webjet website price was still showing lower than the airline price.  I did not accept the new increased price.

I tried and made at least three reservations but every time same email I received.  Then looking for an answer, I called to speak to webjet agents but they could not provide a satisfactory answer why the price is different than what showing on the webjet website.

Webjet Reviews experience

Then, just to test I made two separate reservations, one on Expedia and one on the airline website and both reservations went through with the price was offering on their website.

I am extremely unsatisfied with webjet, they show the lower prices on their website to trick customers and once reservations are made the price increases. That’s why I was surprised to see almost $80 lower than others on webjet website.

I will never trust this company and warn others to do business with them.

Theflightreviews view:

With each review that we write about travel services from all over the world, we learn not only the ups and downs of certain enterprises but also people’s real-life experiences as customers, users, and travellers.  Not all of these are positive accounts, and we do not reject people’s true stories about dealing with some of these services but wish to give you the real deal about travel companies. With this Webjet review, we see the online travel agency through the perspective of one of its users, and leave you to form your own opinion. We hope that this Webjet review helps.
