Auckland Airport Reviews of Passengers
According to 173 Auckland Airport reviews, the airport got an average score due to mixed feedback from travellers. Some customers are saying there were no comfortable seats, the airport was even dirty and most of all, one reviewer is not happy weekly with the arrivals team since he was asked to walk all the way down and back through the queue partitions (about 25 m each way). Skytrax had rated or scored them 5 over 10.
Auckland Airport sees to it that travellers will experience both pleasant and convenient flow while at the airport. AKL has several facilities all throughout the airport. A visitor’s information centre is located on the ground floor of the Domestic Transfer Area and also some medical services, first aid, foreign exchange, chapel and banking services too.
In addition to those usual facilities, passengers with special needs are also catered for, as all public areas of the airport are accessible for wheelchairs, including showers, toilet facilities and drinking fountains. The shops, situated inside the terminal, are open for all incoming and outgoing flights. For the list of stores and food establishments at Auckland Airport, click here.
Auckland Airport definitely has wireless hotspots, but at the international terminals to keep their passengers connected. However, they only offer free WiFi access for 30 minutes and that is when travellers register using the simple SignUp. That means the succeeding usage will be paid services then.
There are many ways of getting to and from Auckland Airport since the location is in between both Auckland and Manukau city: bus, shuttle and taxi are accessible from both cities. If customers are coming in by taxi or shuttle, AKL had designated companies (shuttle) that can take or pick them up from the taxi area at the terminal building, non-designated taxis are only allowed on limited locations to drop or pick up passengers.
For bus, Park & Ride will be your best choice of ride since it’s located at 42 Verissimo Drive, which is strategically 2 km away from Auckland Airport.

Based on several Auckland Airport reviews, the New Zealander airport had really made a mark in the growing travel marketing industry. However, given the pros listed and mentioned above, the cons or the Auckland Airport reviews of passengers are pulling them down. I understand that not all concerns are answered and acknowledged, but an average score is not close to good at all. I hope this reaches a part of AKL to a better service in the future.
