Making decisions in life after a downfall is the hardest foe of all. Let me tell you an inspirational story of an airline founded by a never-give-up captain. See and learn how he changed the route of his life and created an unexpected outcome.
Captain to Founder of Air Berlin
Air Berlin traces its roots back as Air Berlin USA, July 1978 which was founded by captain Kim Lundgren when he lost his job at Pan-American during the oil crisis. He created this airline dream rather than going back to his home country. The first flight inaugurated on August 28, 1979 with a Boeing 707 which was a flight from Berlin to Palma de Mallorca, Tegel.
Now, a 57 year old German tourism manager, he’s the current Chief Executive Officer of Air Berlin. He was a master degree holder in economics and law from Augsburg University. Mr. Pichler was a former internationally ranked marathon runner for German National Team.

Air Berlin has two kinds of classes: Economy and Business Class. Both classes enjoy gourmet of Western and famous German dishes with a choice of drinks from juices, soft drinks and wines.

PC and Mobile version of Services
Initially the official website of Air Berlin asks customers to select their country and language to avoid language barrier. The main page of Air Berlin is simple with a red and white layout. The background shows flashing images of tourist attractions and services. However I am worried with the website’s font size, some of it is too small to be readable.
The features of Air Berlin’s website provides options to search for flights, hotel reservations and car rentals. It also lets customers check-in online, manage their bookings, check flight status, airline’s policies, inflight service and topbonus information.
The mobile app version of Air Berlin is available in iOS and Android. With this travel app, customers can access similar services like their booking, check-in online, check flight status, search for flights, hotel deals, log-in to topbonus account and mobile boarding pass.
Air Berlin Reviews of the Passenger
I am really amused with the fact that in Air Berlin reviews, the airline is getting lots of customer appreciation. Here’s one of the most recent reviews posted on 14th of October 2015, rated with a 9/10 by AirlineRatinsg.com wherein the reviewer said “I recently flew this airline from Abu Dhabi to Berlin and also Berlin to Ibiza. It was my first time with this airline. On the Abu Dhabi flight the crew were fantastic, good meals. I had an issue with a cancelled flight on the Ibiza leg and they were able to help me within minutes. My bags and myself were on the plane seconds before departure. Well organised airline will fly again with them”

In A Nutshell
I learned a lot reading all of these Air Berlin reviews. The airline taught me “Don’t give up on your dream because it’s not going in the right direction you want. There are different routes to the same destination.” A lesson that made my mantra of the day.
